Sony Has Revealed Two GTA VI Limited Edition DualSense Controllers
On 3 September 2026, PlayStation officially revealed two limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers inspired by Grand Theft Auto VI:
- Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition DualSense
- Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition DualSense
Both controllers are designed around Vice City’s visual identity.
PlayStation says the controllers feature a shimmering, colour-shifting finish inspired by the colours of a Vice City sunset and its neon nightlife.
They also feature custom palm-tree details and official Grand Theft Auto VI branding. You can also view GTA VI on PS5 on PlayStation’s website.
GTA VI White Limited Edition DualSense
The GTA VI White Limited Edition DualSense represents the brighter side of Vice City.
PlayStation describes the design as embodying Vice City at daybreak, taking inspiration from white sands, pastel skies and the brighter side of the city.
The predominantly white shell makes the blue, purple and pink centre treatment stand out while retaining the familiar white PS5 aesthetic.
GTA VI Black Limited Edition DualSense
The GTA VI Black Limited Edition DualSense goes in the opposite direction.
Sony says this version captures the energy of Vice City’s nightlife.
Its dark shell makes the neon-inspired centre particularly striking, with blue and purple tones standing out strongly against the black controller.
For anyone with a darker PS5 gaming setup, it may be the obvious choice.

For UK buyers looking for either GTA 6 limited edition controller, these are the important details:
- UK pre-orders open: 10 September 2026 at 10:00am
- Recommended UK price: £74.99 each

The White Limited Edition will be available through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers.
The Black Limited Edition has more restricted availability.
In countries where PlayStation Direct operates, including the UK, Sony says the Black Limited Edition is exclusive to PlayStation Direct.
Why We Made Two GTA VI PS5 Controller Stand Variants
When Sony revealed two different GTA VI controllers, making one generic stand didn’t really make sense.
The Black and White controllers share the same Vice City-inspired centre colours but create very different overall looks.
So our Custom GTA VI Inspired PS5 Controller Stand comes in two versions:
- Black
- White
Both use a blue and purple multi-colour silk outer section designed to complement the neon and sunset tones running through the official GTA VI controllers.
The silk-effect outer section changes slightly in appearance depending on lighting and viewing angle, helping the blue and purple tones stand out differently around the stand.
The White GTA VI Controller Stand
Our White version uses a white controller support surface and base combined with a blue-purple outer section.
It is designed to visually complement lighter DualSense controllers and particularly the new GTA VI White Limited Edition DualSense.

The Black GTA VI Controller Stand
The Black version uses a black controller support surface and base combined with the same blue-purple outer treatment.
Against the black surface, the purple and blue tones create a darker, neon-inspired look designed to complement the GTA VI Black Limited Edition DualSense.
The idea is intentionally simple:
- GTA VI Black Limited Edition DualSense → Black GTA VI-inspired stand
- GTA VI White Limited Edition DualSense → White GTA VI-inspired stand
Both stands are designed for the standard PS5 DualSense controller shape and hold one controller upright when it isn’t being used.
Each stand is individually 3D printed and made to order in the UK.

The Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition DualSense Still Has One of PlayStation’s Most Distinctive Designs
The new GTA VI controllers may be brand new, but another Limited Edition DualSense inspired the second stand we’ve created.
Sony released the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controller alongside matching limited-edition PS5 Console Covers in 2023.
The design was built around one of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s biggest themes:
The symbiote takeover.
Rather than using a simple half-red, half-black colour split, the official design shows the black symbiote spreading across the red Spider-Man design.
PlayStation described the console design as symbiote tendrils creeping across the red surface, while an even larger portion of the matching DualSense appeared to have already been overtaken.
That made the controller deliberately asymmetrical.
One side retains more of the familiar red Spider-Man styling.
The other looks as though the symbiote is taking control.
Turning the Spider-Man 2 Symbiote Takeover Into a Controller Stand
That takeover effect was the most important part of the design when we created our Spider-Man 2 Symbiote Inspired PS5 Controller Stand.
We didn’t want to make a basic half-red, half-black controller holder.
Instead, the stand is predominantly black while one section of red appears to be actively consumed by irregular black symbiote-style tendrils.
A raised white spider emblem sits across the centre of the stand.
The idea is that the symbiote takeover doesn’t stop at the controller — the visual theme continues down into the display beneath it.
The stand is particularly suited to the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition DualSense, but it can also visually complement:
- Standard DualSense controllers
- Custom Spider-Man PS5 controllers
- Symbiote-inspired DualSense controllers
- Red and black custom controllers
- Controllers using thin Spider-Man controller skins

Official Spider-Man 2 PS5 Console Covers vs Skins and Wraps
It is worth making one distinction.
Sony’s official Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 hardware included Limited Edition PS5 Console Covers, rather than adhesive PS5 skins.
However, many gamers also customise standard PS5 hardware using third-party controller skins, vinyl wraps and replacement shells.
That means the Symbiote controller stand can also fit visually into setups using a Spider-Man controller skin, DualSense skin, PS5 controller wrap or similar custom styling.
Those third-party skins are not official Sony products.
